Settings for your Free Internet Connection.

STEP 2. - Creating your Dial-Up :: Macintosh :: .

1. Click on the "Apple" menu. Then click on the "Internet Access Menu"
2. Click on "Internet Setup Assistant"

3. The Internet Setup Assistant will load, and ask you to set up your iMac for the Internet. Click "Yes".

You will now be asked if you have an Internet Account. Click "Yes".

4. Type "GoNuts4Free" as the name of the configuration. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.

5. Select your modem and port. Click on the right "arrow" to the bottom right of the screen.

Type in the phone number of the location you are dialing to.

To access our server and to make it easy for the user; all our users are using the same username and password:

Username: connect104@free
Password: 123456

Other usernames and passwords you could use are:
username: connect105@free ~ password: 123456
username: connect106@free ~ password: 123456

7. Select "NO" to the "PPP Connect Scripts" menu. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
8. Select "NO" to the "IP Address" menu. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
9. Enter the "DNS" and "Domain Name" as below. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
10. Enter your "e-mail address" and "password". Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
11. Enter your "POP account", and "mail server details" in the same format as shown below. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.

E-mail:
In order to be able to use the smtp you will need to register an E-mail address with gonuts4free.com, as we do not relay E-mails if the originator E-mail is not local. To do so please click here.
12. For the News Group Server type in "news.yournewsgroupserver.com". Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
13. Select "NO" to the "Proxy Server" menu. Click on the "right" arrow to the bottom right of the screen.
14. You are now ready to connect. Click "Go Ahead"
