Settings for your Free Internet Connection.

STEP 2. - Creating your Dial-Up :: Windows 95/98 :: .

1. Open Dial-Up Networking (DUN) by double clicking on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
One of the icons you will be presented with will look like this:

2. Double Click on the above icon to bring up the "DUN" Folder which contains an icon called "Make New Connection". Double click the icon. A Connection Wizard should appear. Insert in the name "GoNuts4Free" and click "Next". It should now ask you for the area settings which are the following:

Area Code: (Leave Blank).
Telephone Number: (Click here to select a local Telephone Number).
Country Code: Select "034 Spain".

Click "Next" and then click "Finish".

Your folder should now contain the following icons:
3. With the "Right" mouse button, click once on the "GoNuts4free" icon and then with the "left" mouse button click on "Properties". The following window should appear:

Note: In order to know your local telephone number, please click here...

4. Make sure that you switch "OFF" the checkbox called "Use Area Code and Dialing Properties".

Note: The name of your modem (shown in the "connect using' box") may be different from the one shown here. Make sure that your modem appears in this box.

5. Click on "Server Types" and the contents of the window will change to the following:

Make sure that you just have the two boxes ticked as shown above. Click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button and a new window will appear:

Make sure that it appears as shown above and then click "OK" and "OK" again. You should now be back at the "Dial Up Networking Window". Double click on the "GoNuts4Free" icon to bring up the window.

6. To access our server and to make it easy for the user; all our users are using the same username and password:

Username: connect104@free
Password: 123456

Note: All details and settings must be typed in "LOWER CASE"

Other usernames and passwords you could use are:
username: connect105@free ~ password: 123456
username: connect106@free ~ password: 123456
username: connect107@free ~ password: 123456

7. Click "Connect" to test your connection. If your modem dials and you connect to the Internet, then "GoNuts4Free" is correctly configured. You can now use Outlook Express and Internet Explorer as before.
