Configuring your computer to use the default Internet connection can be very useful. Whenever a program is launched and requires to connect to the Internet then your default connection will come in action. Sometimes, people forget to specify there default connection, the result of this is that a program such as Outlook Express does not ask the user whether he would like to connect or work offline. Other times the program will just give all kind of error messages about the pop server not responding and so on...

Note: This tutorial is based on Windows 98/Me/2000/XP systems.

Click on "Start" and then click on "Settings" - "Control Panel".

Search for an icon called "Internet Options". Double click to open.

A box will appear. Click on "Connections" on the top. You will see a white box and below 3 options. One of them is called "Always dial my default connection". Switch this option ON.
Now...click on your Gonuts4free connection and then click on the "Set Default" button located about in the middle, right hand side...

Good, now press "OK" and close the "Control Panel".

Whenever a program is opened and requires to connect to the Internet, your default connection box will pop up and ask you if you would like to connect.
