Unlike many other Internet Service Providers, Gonuts4free supports instant messaging such as Yahoo or MSN via its free dial up connection. There are no special ports to be opened or proxies to be specified in order to be able to chat with your contacts. The Gonuts4free Internet connection is fast, simple an very reliable when using MSN Messenger.
This guide will just give you a small idea on how to install MSN Messenger. Remember that for any software problems with this program, you must refer to the Microsoft Help Desk at http://www.microsoft.com. If you have any questions or problems regarding our Gonuts4free Internet connection, then please use our support form to submit your inquiry.
Note: Users with a personal firewall such as Norton or Mcafee should review their port settings. This setup guide is for version 6.2 of MSN Messenger only.
The following guide will assist you with the setup of the latest Microsoft MSN Messenger Version...
1. Download the latest messenger version from the following page:
http://messenger.msn.com
2. Locate the download button and click it. Depending on your browser version, the following screen will appear. Press the "Save" button.
3. To keep things easy. Save the setup file in "My Documents" and press "Save".
4. Good...the setup file will now start downloading. Wait patiently until the file has been fully downloaded...
5. Once the file is fully downloaded... open your "My Documents" folder and double click the MSN setup file.
6. You will be presented with the following screen. Press "Next".
7. In order to install MSN Messenger you must accept its Terms and Conditions. Activate "I agree..." and press "Next".
8. MSN Messenger has some other features included such as a Toolbar and more. You can activate these features if desired. For the moment we have disabled them as we are only interested in installing Messenger itself. Press "Next".
9. Wait patiently until setup completes.
10. Messenger is now fully installed. Press "Finish".
11. You will now notice a little blue icon in the task bar next to the clock.
12. Double click the little icon and you will be presented with the below screen. Click on "Sign In".
Note: this screen may also appear automatically once installation is finished.
13. You will need a valid username and password to logon.
14. That's it. If you are new to MSN messenger, you will need to register a valid account. Existing users should be able to start chatting and remember to use our free dial up connection.
