This guide will explain you how to install the Internet connection from Gonuts4free.com using your mobile phone. Please note that this is a random guide using a random mobile telephone to give a simple overview on the necesary steps that need to be undertaken in order to establish the connection. All users who wish to setup the connection using a mobile phone will need to review with the hardware manufacturer and check that the unit supports internet connectivity via either of the below methods.

- USB Cable
- Infared
- Bluetooth

This guide will explain all the necesary setup steps using the following items:

- Laptop computer with free available USB ports and Windows XP
- Nokia 6230 Model
- USB Cable (model DKU-2)

Note: Using a USB cable is the most reliable option. Bluetooth is another big preference for many users, but this guide will focus on using the cable option. If you have a different mobile phone, then please visit the manufacturers web site to install the necesary drivers.

1. Since we are using a nokia model to connect, visit the www.nokia.com website and download the "Nokia PC suit Manager". Click here to download. Make sure you select your model appropiatly. I will select the 6230 version. Once download install it on your laptop computer.

2. Double click the Nokia PC Suite program to open it.

3. Connnect your USB cable into one of your USB ports on your laptop computer and then to your mobile phone. A message may appear informing you about the mobile unit detection and it may also install some additional drivers automatically from the suit.

4. Just wait patiently untill you have the below screen.

5. Good, now lets close the PC suite manager with the little close icon at the top right hand side. and setup the connection via dial up networking. Go to "Start - Settings / Control Panel".

6. Make sure you switch to the classic mode and you will be presented with lots of little icons. Double click "Network Connections".

7. Click on "Create a new connection".

8. A wizard will appear. Press "Next".

9. Select "Connect to the Internet". Press "Next".

10. Select "Setup my connection manually" and press "Next".

11. Choose "Connect using a dial-up modem". Press "Next".

12. Okay. Select your nokia phone unit as modem. If you have installed it correctly, then it should show in your modem list. Make sure you put a tick in the box to use it. If your modem does not appear in the list, then you will need to redo step 1 and make sure you have selected the appropiate nokia suite and phone device for the drivers. Also make sure you have the correct cable as their are different versions of USB cables for a similar mobile unit. Press "Next".

13. Type a name for the connection and press "Next".

14. Type in the local node to obtain the local and cheapest call. "901929200" and press "Next".

15. Type in your username and password as shown in the below image. They need to be exactly the same. Username "456@free" and password "123456". Press "Next".

16. Make sure you put a tick in the box next to "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop".
Press "Finish".

17. The below screen will appear. Click on "Properties" at the bottom.

18. Click on "Networking" located at the top and then double click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or click the "Properties" button located in the middle right hand side.

19. Type in the DNS servers accordingly as shown in the below image. Once done press "OK" and "OK" again.

20. You are now ready to get connected via your mobile device. Please note that when you press the dial button, a message may appear on your mobile phone confirming whether you would like to dial this number. If so, make sure you press "YES" or "ACCEPT".

21. You will also have a shortcut on your desktop to your connection. Just remember to have your cable connected from your mobile to your laptop computer whenever you would like to use the connection. Note that your mobile phone will limit you to up to 9.7KB which should still be okay to pickup emails and so.
