Don't we all love to send some pictures or files to friends or relatives ?... Of course we do, and the first thing that comes in our minds is "Long live email...". Well guess again. Most free ISP's will allow you to send emails with attachments of up to 1 MB. Gonuts4free allows free users to send up to 2 MB. files and business users up to 5 MB... But sometimes it can be a little of a pain sending a large file via email... Sometimes people try to send some pictures in 1 email and after waiting for some time while the progress bar indicates that the mail is almost 95% sent an error comes up...
There are many reasons why this has happened:
1. The person you are sending to has reached it's mailbox limit and cannot receive files any more...
2. The email address you are sending to has a temporary problem....
3. The files you are sending are corrupted or are infected with a virus...
4. Your email could be blocked by an anti spam filter...
5. You really have exceeded your maximum file sending limit...
Of course the problem is that we have to wait a long time before the email is delivered and then just at about 95% of the progress bar the mail is refused for any of the above reasons..
So, here is the solution. In simple terms, this tutorial will configure your Outlook Express to divide the big files automatically in smaller emails. Do not worry about the actual file that you send. You will notice that it divides it in various emails containing only text and a little attachment. Once the person receives these smaller files it will show as 1 email in Outlook Express together with the big attachment.
Open your Outlook Express program via the shortcut on the desktop or via the "Start" - "Programs" button.

Click on "Tools" and then click on "Accounts".

The internet account box will appear. Click on "Mail". Good, you will see your Gonuts4free email. It should be already highlighted in blue, if not then click on it and then press "Properties" on the right hand side...

The account properties box will appear. Click on "Advanced" on the top.

Notice the box called "Break apart messages larger than". Switch it on and specify an amount of KB. Around 200 KB should be enough.
Good now press "OK" and "Close" the internet account box.
Try sending a large email of about 1 MB. You will see that Outlook Express will send a total of 5 emails (1 MB = 1000 KB = 5 X 200 KB). The recipient will receive a total of 5 emails also, but once all 5 emails are downloaded it will show as 1 email in his Inbox.
