How to use your personal anti-spam filter with Gonuts4free...
 

Upon several requests from our customers we have created an up to date anti-spam system which can be used by all Gonuts4free customers.

In our continues fight against junk email we have introduced this new spam filter system. Please read carefully all instructions to have optimal use of the system.

Introduction:
There are 2 ways of sending and receiving mail; one is via a mail program like Outlook Express; the other way is via our web mail system at http://mail.gonuts4free.com. To control the features which will be explained below you have to login via the web mail at http://mail.gonuts4free.com. This does not mean that you will have to use the web mail system all the time; you can if you find this easier to work; but you will have to access it in order to set your personalized settings.

1. Accessing the web mail can be done at http://mail.gonuts4free.com by filling in your username and password. (example: username: john - password: 1234)

2. Once logged in you have access to the online web mail control panel where you will find your folders containing your mail. Here you can view, send and receive your mail. You will notice that an additional folder has been created; called "spam". This folder will contain the mail which was sent to you and detected as spam mail.

At the moment the spam filtering is setup as default, so detected spam mail will automatically be put into your spam folder.

Note: We advise strongly to view the content of your spam filter once in a while so that mail which has been unjustified processed as spam be corrected and accepted.

3. Click on "settings" were you can personalize your account settings. Click on the "Black & White List" which will allow you to control your spam settings.

4. Black & White List. Spam filter options. Please follow exactly the instructions. If you have any questions please go to the web mail help page by clicking on the "help" option.

This is your spam filter settings option where you can accept, reject, delete or mark a message as spam. At the moment default settings apply but if you have spam mail which is not detected by our system automatically you can individualize the spam settings by filling in the senders email address into the 'string' box and 'add' the appropriate action. After adding make sure you click "save changes".

Note: Due to the variety of spam mail and the changes spammers are applying to the way they are sending you these mails, it is impossible to detect all spam mail. Also, and this happens rarely, E-mail message might be viewed as spam mail while it is not spam. Therefore we advise all users to review the spam folder once in a while in order to accept these messages which were unjustified filtered as spam. To accept the message click the little green icon and put in the "action" accept.

When you make changes to the spam function you need to click the button "save changes" when finished adding, deleting or editing.
